Thorough testing has to be ensured.

Larian Studios has delayed Patch 3 for Baldur's Gate 3 "to ensure thorough testing": the big update is going to be released on September 22, a day later than expected. With it, Mac users will finally be able to play the game on their systems.

Aside from the macOS support, the studio hasn't shared any details about the patch, which is unusual for Larian. I'm sure everyone is expecting to see performance improvements, especially in Act 3, as well as proper epilogues for every companion, as we saw with Karlach in the previous patch.

Baldur's Gate 3 was launched on PlayStation 5 not so long ago, and Larian is working on porting it to Xbox. While there is no date for the release, director Swen Vincke mentioned a window between September and November.

For a game launched a month and a half ago, Baldur's Gate 3 is engraved surprisingly deeply in players' hearts. After losing its title as a Steam top seller, it bounced back and overpowered Starfield once again. What a fantastic result, especially for a title so greatly underestimated by Microsoft last year.
