Picturesque Forest Scene Created with UE5.7's Nanite Foliage

William Wang shared his experiment with the new features of Unreal Engine 5.7.

Game Technical Artist William Wang showcased this picturesque forest scene crafted in Unreal Engine 5.7.

Exploring the engine's new Megaplants and Nanite foliage workflows, the artist created a lush, atmospheric environment with fluttering leaves and natural light. 

Before, William Wang showcased a custom-built Unreal Engine system designed to bring underwater 3D environments to life and a physics-based popcorn simulation:

As for Nanite Foliage, it's one of the highlights of UE5.7, presenting a new rendering path for creating lifelike and animated greenery in games. The technology leverages a voxel-based method to achieve dense forests. It is used in The Witcher 4. Check it out in the game's tech demo:
