Learn how to calibrate your DNA for MetaHuman Creator using this add-on and Blender with a new comprehensive tutorial.
Last year, we introduced Poly Hammer's Meta-Human DNA that enables a streamlined workflow between Blender and Unreal Engine's MetaHuman system. Now officially released, though still in beta, the tool continues to evolve with regular updates expanding its capabilities.
With the release of Unreal Engine 5.6, MetaHumans received significant updates, and Meta-Human DNA reflects these changes. Version 0.4.0 introduces early body support and a faster DNA calibration workflow, now compatible with the new MetaHuman Creator in Unreal Engine 5.6.
Poly Hammer has also released a full end-to-end tutorial demonstrating how to calibrate your MetaHuman DNA using only this add-on. If you missed it, the Meta-Human DNA add-on allows you to import MetaHuman head and body components from their DNA files, customize them in Blender, and send them back to MetaHuman Creator. What sets this tool apart is that its full source code is available on GitHub, giving you the flexibility to modify and adapt it to your specific pipeline or needs.
