Procedural Content Production in Substance Designer

Check out the workflow from Nikola Damjanov.

Nikola Damjanov, a game artist at Nordeus, did a stream with M3DS Academy on Twitch, where he shared his procedural approach to texturing in Substance Designer. The stream is mostly focused on the educational process of using Substance Designer since Nikola worked in it during his free time for the sake of the skill gain and practice.  In the presentation, he shared his learning process from the very first texture he made, roof tiles, and shared a few tips he had learned from every new texture.

For instance, one of the essential things he learned after working with the first texture is that you shouldn’t stop working on it after the tutorial is complete. There are always some guides and other tutorials that will give more insights into ways of enhancing your texture.

Check out Nikola's Artstation page for artworks.
