Jesse Miettinen utilized a modified version of the technique shown in Poliigon's recent tutorial.
3D Artist and Blender enthusiast Jesse Miettinen, a.k.a. Blenderesse, has recently shared a new demo showcasing a neat setup for creating realistic-looking dirt roads embedded into the ground using Blender.
Created for a short movie using the software's Geometry Nodes toolset, the setup enables the artist to easily make and customize incredible outdoor paths using Curves. According to the creator, the project is based on a modified version of the technique shown in Poliigon's recent tutorial on using Geometry Nodes to create directional dirt paths.
And here's the tutorial itself, in case you would like to recreate a similar setup:
Previously, Miettinen also revealed a stunning castle generator, a freezing effect, a tool for scattering pigeons, a wind-blown tree, a Geometry Nodes-powered bridge generator that can adapt to the landscape, a cool-looking wave simulation, a powerful generator that can create entire cities, an incredible melting effect, and more. You can find all these projects and more by visiting the artist's Twitter page.
