Red Dead Redemption PS4 Port VS Original Game Graphics Comparison

It looks better but doesn't offer groundbreaking changes.

A couple of days ago, Rockstar announced PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch ports for the original Red Dead Redemption. The news was not received well: players criticized the company for delivering a "$50 port of a 13-year-old game" to a last-gen PS console. To this, Take-Two Interactive's CEO replied that the price is "commercially accurate."

Whether or not you're planning to buy the port, you might be interested in what it looks like. Content creator Cycu1 is here to show you, but be warned: it isn't that much different from the old version, although Rockstar definitely worked on lighting.

The author noted that they couldn't recreate the same conditions in some of the shots as the game has dynamic weather and a night/day system. Still, you can see that shadows look more natural in the new version.

If you're a fan of Red Dead Redemption and would love to see a movie adaptation, you might be disappointed. Take-Two considers filmmaking a "hard business" and will continue to take "a very selective approach to licensing."

The chances are slim for now, so enjoy the game on PS4, watch the full comparison here, and join our 80 Level Talent platform and our Telegram channel, follow us on ThreadsInstagramTwitter, and LinkedIn, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
