Rumor: God of War Ragnarök to Announce Its PC Port "Very Soon"

According to one of the industry's most reliable leakers.

Earlier this month, a trusted industry leaker named billbil-kun on Twitter, stated that God of War: Ragnarök is one of the next PlayStation exclusives to become available on PC. As May draws to a close, an exciting update from the leaker suggests that the announcement will be made "very soon," although a precise time frame could not be provided yet at this moment.

God of War Ragnarök, an action-adventure game developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, was released on November 9, 2022, on both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The game received overwhelmingly positive reviews, quickly becoming the fastest-selling first-party game in PlayStation history with 5.1 million units sold in its first week.

It's widely known that Sony has been actively expanding its PC audience in recent years. A dedicated page on their website lists "PlayStation games for PC", under which there are the "Now Available" and "Coming Soon" categories. The "Now Available" section includes games like Helldivers 2, The Last of Us Part I, and Ghost of Tsushima, all of which were released for PlayStation and subsequently for PC (via Steam or Epic Store).

Given the leaker's reliable track record, it's highly likely that the PC port of the game will launch less than two years after its PlayStation-exclusive release. While it's unclear what "very soon" might exactly translate to, fans are eagerly hoping for a swift announcement, ideally coming together with the long-rumored "May Event" of PlayStation.
