Kombat Pack 3 and the second story expansion no more.

If you are looking forward to Mortal Kombat 1's Kombat Pack 3, you will not like this rumor. According to _FateUnknown_, a "verified insider" on the Mortalkombatleaks subreddit, the pack and the second story expansion were in development but have recently been canceled.
"No more characters after Kombat Pack 2. A kameo or two might make it since there has been work done on them but I don't know yet," _FateUnknown_ said.
This is allegedly because its DLC Khaos Reigns didn't sell as well as the publisher, Warner Bros. Games, expected.
That might not be surprising for fans as they complain that MK1's extra content is just too expensive. For example, Khaos Reigns costs $50, the same as the base game itself.
As usual, this is all alleged, but if true, some players will likely feel betrayed because Mortal Kombat's creator Ed Boon has promised "years of content": "So we were pretty sure when we launched Mortal Kombat 1 that we were going to be doing years of content, and this is year two."
