Despite the rumors, the project hasn't been canceled.

Announced back in 2021, the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake has been facing a rocky development path. You may recall that initially, Aspyr took on the game's development but later handed it over to Saber.
Lots of rumors about the game being paused and potentially being canceled have been flying around for quite a long time. However, the good news is that the development of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake is still in the works, as Bloomberg has recently reported.
Even though the developer is continuing to work on the highly anticipated title, there is still not much information to share on the project and its current state.
Speaking of Saber, based on Bloomberg's recent report, Embracer is set to sell the studio to a group of private investors for a reported transaction amount of up to $500 million. Following the deal, Saber will transition into a private entity boasting around 3,500 employees.
