Watching a 2D design come to life in three dimensions is one of the most exciting parts of 3D art. It's even more rewarding when you're the artist who created the original artwork and get to reimagine it in 3D yourself.
That's what the artist known as SillyPotato was able to do with their characters, a mechanic girl and a big robot. Nothing about their original charm was lost, they only adopted a new, soft, low-poly look.
This wasn't generated by AI, the project was made in Blender by SillyPotato over about a month:
