See How Framestore Created VFX for Aliens & Landscapes in Mickey 17

The studio shared a breakdown of the visual effects crafted for the sci-fi odyssey.

VFX studio Framestore has unveiled an insightful breakdown of the visual effects created for Mickey 17, the 2025 sci-fi film directed by Bong Joon Ho.

The effects helped convey the movie's unique atmosphere that mixes "grim horror with dark humour." Framestore handled character animation for the alien creepers and brought to life vast, icy CG environments, one of the film's key locations, tackling the VFX production from chaotic technical effects sequences to the gruesome montage of Mickey's many deaths.
