Rassoul Edji's studio Luminairi shared a VFX breakdown for its debut film, Outpost Alpha.
Luminairi, a digital film studio founded by VFX artist Rassoul Edji, known for his work on major productions such as Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, shared a behind-the-scenes look at the VFX crafted for the studio's film Outpost Alpha.
The video shows how a giant mecha was brought to life, from a concept and initial blockout to a finalized version seen in the movie, and showcases mechanical movement and animation tests for the characters. We can also take an insightful look at how the film's large-scale nature scenes were built, and catch a glimpse of the visualization of intricate helicopter mechanics.
Outpost Alpha is the studio's first work and presents high-octane blockbuster-scale action between giant robots and kaiju. Check out the trailer:
