See How This Walking Castle Game Looks After Year Of Development
Scraptory has received major updates, and an announcement trailer is coming soon.
It's been a while since we last saw updates on Scraptory, an open-world sandbox strategy roguelite blending RPG, RTS, and tower defense elements. In the meantime, David Shaw has been hard at work and recently showcased a "one year of progress" update, also teasing an upcoming trailer along with several new announcements.
Over the past eight months, he has completely overhauled the art, added mini castle units, introduced snap-together resource pipes for connecting buildings, and implemented dialogue and trading systems. There's now also a faction relationship system, procedurally generated wave-based encounters, destructible trees, and a full story.

David Shaw describes Scraptory as a "feudal sci-fi open-world sandbox strategy roguelite." You play as the lord of a walking castle built from the remains of a crashed asteroid mining ship. You travel across the world, salvaging alien-infested spaceships as they crash from orbit. Along the way, you build industries and defenses, recruit vassals, and decide the fate of rival factions.
The developer is also open to marketing advice and feedback, and you can join the official Discord to get involved and stay updated. You can also join the playtest and wishlist Scraptory on Steam.
