VFX artist Razvan Ciobanu has recently revealed his new course on creating controllable solar flare systems using Houdini and Nuke. If you wanted to see these stunning explosions in the viewport, you're in luck! Fair warning: it might surprise you when you compare it to the render.

In-engine, the scene looks like a sphere with hair-like ribbons – a far cry from the fantastic final result. This, however, shows that you don't have to invent something overcomplicated to create awesome 3D projects.
