As we previously reported, the Archipel team, which is known for their YouTube channel specializing in high-quality documentaries about Japanese artists, recently hosted their first pop cultural festival, where Shinji Mikami and Hideki Kamiya took part in talking about their experience in gamedev, possible future, and unique perspectives on the creative process.
During the talk, Mikami, who left the studio he founded, Tango Gameworks, touched upon the Resident Evil series. The legendary Game Designer said that he's not interested in working on the franchise ever again. Well, it doesn't seem to be a big surprise since earlier, Mikami already spoke his mind about the horror genre, saying that he'd like to move further.
Hopefully, we hear more from Mikami and his upcoming projects soon.
Speaking of Kamiya, yesterday I reported on the reasons behind his departure from PlatinumGames. If you're curious, make sure to read this article.
