Slow Walking Character Animation Made With Blender & Houdini

Sun Somei continues sharing behind-the-scenes sneak peeks at their new commercial.

In case you missed it, Motion Designer and CG Commercial Director Sun Somei has been sharing impressive sneak peek demos over the past week or so, providing an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at their upcoming commercial.

In the most recent update shared by Sun on Twitter, the artist showcased a smooth 3D walking character animation created for the ad using Houdini and Blender and shared a WIP look at the sequence demonstrating how it looked during production. According to the creator, the character's dynamic hair was simulated in Houdini with the curve from Blender. As for the destruction FX seen in the background, it was set up by Digital Artist 秩序 using SideFX's procedural 3D software.
