Story Trailer for Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree DLC Unveiled

With the release of Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree expansion just a month away, FromSoftware has unveiled a fiery new story trailer.

FromSoftware, the acclaimed game developer behind Elden Ring, has unveiled a new story trailer for the upcoming expansion, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. The DLC, set to release on June 21 across all available platforms, plunges players further into the game's intricate lore and richly detailed world.

The newly released trailer spotlights Miquella, one of the game's most enigmatic figures, and the Land of Shadow, a previously unexplored area in the Elden Ring universe. The Land of Shadow, depicted as a city under the vast, luminous Erdtree, is showcased in a state of fiery turmoil. Yes, as you can see, it's a total fire fest here.

The Shadow of the Erdtree expansion follows Miquella's journey after leaving the realms featured in the base game of Elden Ring. Players will embark on this new adventure at the request of Empyrean Miquella, delving deeper into the Land of Shadow and its myriad mysteries.

First announced in February of last year, this trailer, as its title suggests, focuses solely on the story and doesn't showcase any gameplay, unlike the first trailer. This first DLC for Elden Ring is being hailed as the "Largest Expansion" in FromSoftware's history.

In a recent interview with Chinese media outlet Campfire Camp, as reported by Gamesradar, FromSoftware's president, Hidetaka Miyazaki, confirmed this will be the only DLC for Elden Ring as the developers have no plans for additional content.
