The Return of the Donut King.
In case you missed the news, earlier this week, the Blender Foundation shipped the long-awaited update Blender 4.0, introducing a slew of new features and overhauling Blender's modeling, texturing, animation, lighting, and rendering tools.
To commemorate the release, Andrew Price, also known as Blender Guru, also known as "The Donut Guy", has released a brand-new tutorial, providing a comprehensive overview of Blender 4.0's new features and offering a beginner-friendly introduction to the software.
As many of you have already guessed, the new tutorial centers around creating a donut, with Price thoroughly explaining Blender's core functionality and features. The first guide in the series, attached above, focuses on the very basics of Blender 4,0, explaining how to navigate the interface, how to add and move objects, how to make a render and move the camera, and such. Additionally, the author shared some useful hotkeys that will make your life much easier.
We highly encourage you to follow Blender Guru on YouTube and Twitter so as not to miss the future parts.
