Game VFX Artist Frank Hsiao unveiled this setup, showcasing an attack with fascinating water VFX crafted using Unity, After Effects, Substance 3D Designer, 3ds Max, Photoshop, and LiquiGen.
Frank Hsiao experimented with water shapes and splashes, creating an appealing and mesmerizing image. As explained by the creator, most of the effects are made using one shader, except for the tentacles and wave effects. In the ArtStation post, the artist shared technical details of the shader and a LiquiGen setup:
