Take a look at this beautiful artwork depicting a birdcage with a vintage cover. This prop was created by Sasha Honcharova for the Old Persian Village Environment using Marvelous Designer, Substance 3D Sampler, Substance 3D Painter, Adobe Illustrator, and Unreal Engine 5.
As shared by the artist, she wanted to practice using the new Path Tool in Substance 3D Painter. 2D bases for custom designs were created in Adobe Illustrator and turned into embroidery smart materials in Substance 3D Sampler. The artist shares that she learned a lot about texturing cloth while using anchoring and masking in Substance 3D Painter.
As for the theme and inspiration of the design, the creator referred to traditional Persian patterns and symbols. For instance, she included pomegranates in the artwork because they carry a rich cultural significance in Persian culture and are associated with fertility and purity.
