Take a Look at This Cinematic Inventory Menu of WIP Indie Sci-Fi FPS
Menu tabs appear on a terminal screen and paper.
Check out this immersive inventory menu featured in the upcoming survival FPS Phoenix, developed by SAS.
In this fully dietetic and interactive main menu, a player hunkers in a hideout, turns on an old terminal, and starts browsing servers. The stylish and cinematic setup is reminiscent of a cutscene rather than just a menu. The developer shared that the setup will also feature sound effects, which are currently in development.
There's not much detail about the game yet. As of now, we know that Phoenix combines exploration of the open world, fighting, and stealth. The sci-fi-inflected world, crafted with Unreal Engine 5, features top-secret scientific research facilities, bases and shelters, resource hunting, and PvP fights. You can check further details and updates on the game's official website.
As for the interactive menus, check out the This is my indie game main menu thread, in which indie devs showcase the creative menus of their projects, and take a look at this cinematic menu by VFX Artist Dylan Browne, a fantastic inventory setup of their atmospheric exploration adventure Cairn by The Game Bakers, and an amazing main menu with an entire 3D world within it from Highland Keep by Technical Artist and Game Developer Kacper Szwajka:
