Take Closer Look at Materials & Assets Created for Sid Meier's Civilization 7

Clark Coots made 300 materials and 1200 tinted variations.

Clark Coots, an extremely talented Environment Artist at Firaxis Games, shared the materials and assets he created for the recently released Sid Meier's Civilization 7.

He made about 300 unique materials and 1200 tinted variations for the game, and you can see some of the patterns and trim sheets crafted using Substance 3D Designer. 

Coots was also responsible for building assembly, modeling, and layout of assets, some of which you can see on the artist's ArtStation among other projects.

Civilization 7 was launched in February to Mixed reviews. Despite players' complaints about the way Firaxis implemented the ages mechanic, the game turned out very pretty, thanks to Coots and other artists at the studio.
