Testing Upcoming Blender 5.1's Hair Physics

A new simulation from MJV3D.

Michael Vaughan, also known as MJV3D, continues to push the boundaries of hair in Blender, this time giving a glimpse of what the future of Blender's hair systems could look like. He also mentioned that he might experiment with curly hair next and could even release a tutorial once Blender 5.1 approaches its release.

Regarding any unnatural behavior you might notice, keep in mind that the nodes are still a work in progress. According to the artist, features like self-collisions haven't been implemented yet. Check out MJV3D's ponytail physics test:
