A PEGI rating for the PC version of the original Resident Evil has been spotted, sparking speculation that the original Resident Evil is coming to PC.
The discovery, announced on Twitter by Gematsu, has thrilled fans of the classic horror franchise. Adding to the excitement, PEGI’s website lists the "release" date as June 18th.
While the survival horror title did initially launch for PC when it was released in 1996, it hasn't been readily available on modern platforms for years. Indeed, there is a game called Resident Evil on Steam, which is the "remastered HD version of Resident Evil." It's believed to be a remastered version of the GameCube remake released in 2002. Judging by the comments under the post, the classic collection is highly hoped for by players, as well as the Director's Cut version of the original game, which are already available on PS4 and PS5.
