This Blender Eye Animation Looks and Sounds Weirdly Satisfying
How many times did you watch it?
Berk Gedik, Principal CGI Artist, shared a weirdly interesting and satisfying animation of eyes multiplying inside a plastic bubble or wrap with a popping sound.
The artist explained that he made the sound effect with his mouth and created the animation with Blender's Cycles. Every element in the animation is fascinating, from how the eyes appear to the sound. I could see this in a kind of body horror game or short film.
Gedik is an artist who seems to enjoy creating weird things that could be interesting or uncomfortable to look at, like this Blender animation of a head with a jelly-like appearance:
Or this Blender animation of a head being bathed in ketchup and mayo:
A few months ago, we posted that the artist released 20 free light textures for Blender, which allow you to create a softer, more natural-looking illumination for your projects.
You can also check out other loopable simulations and projects we've featured in the past, like Alexander Kovalevsky's procedural Möbius strip, Tomasz Woźniakowski's distorted Blender world, Marcel Kohler's expanding foam simulation, or Cartesian Caramel's digital muscle layout.
