This Houdini Foam Simulation It's Very Satisfying to Watch

It makes me want to touch it.

Marcel Kohler, Houdini Artist and Motion Designer, shared on LinkedIn an expanding foam animation he did using Houdini's MPM Solver.

The animation looks so smooth, and the vibrant color reminds me of a candy I used to eat as a child.

Kohler is an artist known for his Houdini creations that he shared on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Patreon, where he gives more detailed breakdowns. He has skills in creating realistic simulations of materials breaking, melting, or expanding.

Check out other works of his:

You can also take a look at other simulations we have featured in the past, like José León Molfino's paint stroke simulation, which was also made using Houdini's MPM Solver, Kurie's take on foam bubbles, or Yuki Ito's realistic water foam recreation.
