This New Baldur's Gate 3 Mod Is All About Astarion & It Lasts 6 Hours
Four different endings, six new companions, new weapons, boss fights, and a "kitty that potentially accepts scritches."
A Dream of Silence: ReVamped
Larian Studios has confirmed that it won't be making any expansions for Baldur's Gate 3, but if you're looking to spend a little more time in the game (or with everyone's favorite vampire elf Astarion), the modding community has you covered.
A Dream of Silence: ReVamped by lizardphunk adds a new campaign where you can rescue Astarion from a nightmarish version of Cazador's mansion, or choose not to. It takes around six hours to complete and features four different endings, six new companions, and plenty more, including a "kitty that potentially accepts scritches."
This mod is actually based on a browser-based text game by Abigail Corfman called A Dream of Silence, which you can check out here. In it, you take on the role of a mysterious presence inside Astarion's mind, with just three abilities at your disposal: Speech, Touch, and Sight, as you try to keep him from losing his grip on reality.
ReVamped is currently available for Windows and Mac, and you'll need around 1.3 GB of free space to install it. One thing you should know going in is that there's no voice acting. The modder chose not to reuse existing performances from actors for lines they never originally recorded, whether or not AI is involved.
It's actually a pretty huge effort: lizardphunk said they started with zero experience with modding and coding, making ReVamped an impressive showcase of just how much can be accomplished with Baldur's Gate 3's modding tools.
