This Tool Connects Blender & Krita For Texture Painting

Capture your scene in Blender, paint directly in Krita, and project your work back onto the model.

Open-source tool lovers can now combine them more easily thanks to this new plug-in from MadCanvas. It's a live link between Blender and Krita, allowing you to control the Blender viewport directly from Krita, paint over your model, and project the artwork back onto the mesh.

You can think of PaintBridge as Blender's Quick Edit, but with more control and a proper live connection, which doesn't require shuffling files back and forth. It also works with layer-based add-ons like Ucupaint, giving you even more flexibility for texturing.

PaintBridge runs locally, so Krita and Blender need to be installed and running on the same machine. It requires Blender 4.0 or later and Krita 5.0 or later. Purchase PaintBridge here.

Earlier, we featured TXTRCast by Nanka Tsukurouyo, a tool that lets you paint in Photoshop or CSP and instantly see the changes on your Blender model, and it's completely free:

StudioCats also has a similar tool for Unity, and it's free as well:
