Have a look at TexBridge, a tool from Moss3D that handles the repetitive steps between texturing in Substance 3D Painter and checking the result in Unreal Engine 5.
With TexBridge, you can make this process easier and avoid manually reimporting maps or rebuilding texture connections. To use the tool, you can keep both applications open and choose an export preset, texture sets, and an Unreal destination folder, then click Export + Send. TexBridge exports and imports the textures, sets up a Material Instance per texture set, and can assign them to selected Static Meshes.
The tool applies compression and sRGB settings for each map type, including Normal Map compression for normals and Masks with sRGB disabled for packed ORM maps, and handles OpenGL-to-DirectX normal conversion, so artists have fewer settings to check after importing. It works with the included master materials as well as custom ones. Export settings and material mappings can be saved as profiles and shared.
