Tutorial: Making a Portal System in Unreal Engine

The system utilizes Static Cubemaps and works with both Unreal Engine 4 and 5.

If you were looking for an easy way to create portals for a game or a project, here's a great tutorial that you should definitely check out. Released last year by a renowned tutorial-maker UnrealCG, the educational video will teach you how to set up a working 3D portal system in Unreal Engine 4 and Unreal Engine 5 using Static Cubemaps. The system enables you to travel to various locations on either the same or another level and provides a 360-degree view of said location, similar to Valve's Portal games.

You can check out more of UnrealCG's tutorials here. Also, don't forget to join our Reddit page and our Telegram channel, follow us on Instagram and Twitter, where we are sharing breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
