Ultimate Extremely Detailed Procedural Gore Shader For Blender 5.0

Please make sure you're not eating when you click on this article.

Sebastián Luna's shader firmly lands in the "Thanks, I hate it" category. The developer calls it an "extremely detailed, endlessly configurable, multi-layered procedural gore system" made for Cycles.

According to the description, the system is built around a four-tier hierarchy for maximum artistic flexibility. Instead of relying on fixed, texture-based materials, each layer functions as an independent procedural element, giving you the freedom to assemble and shape the material exactly how you want it.

The system starts with a Base layer (Flesh/Custom Texture) that forms the foundation and can be replaced with custom assets. The Sinew layer adds fibrous connective detail, while the Pus layer simulates separate fluid buildup. The Blisters layer adds procedural surface damage. Mottle Staining adds targeted discoloration to the Base Flesh and Sinew layers, and Liquid Coat is a dynamic top layer that sits over everything, designed to create a wet, glossy effect.

The Ultimate Procedural Gore Shader also includes a dedicated Viewport Mode for real-time feedback, letting you switch between different passes to inspect and evaluate your material data.
