Upcoming PlayStation Games Supposedly Leaked via Alleged SIE Document

The allegedly leaked document supposedly sheds light on PS5's upcoming portfolio suggesting that Death Stranding 2, an open-world game from Sumo Digital, and a survival horror title from Firesprite might be in development.

Over the past weekend, the rumors started circulating saying that Horizon Zero Dawn will get a remaster or a remake for PlayStation 5 and that an open-world co-op Horizon game for PC and PS5 is in development.

This information was first reported by MP1ST and later corroborated by VGC, followed by the report from Gematsu that claimed that both the Horizon Zero Dawn remake/remaster and Horizon online multiplayer project were mentioned in a document that was sent to the outlet.

Now, this document apparently has been leaked online (via ResetEra) revealing several other notable titles planned to release in the future, with many of them supposedly being developed using Decima, a proprietary game engine made by Guerrilla Games.

Apart from mentioning the Horizon Zero Dawn new version, which is marked as a remaster rather than a full remake, and the Horizon co-op game, the allegedly leaked PlayStation document also suggests Guerilla is also working on a DLC for Horizon Forbidden West.

While the add-on wasn't officially announced by Sony, a recent tweet (that is currently deleted) by actor Lance Reddick, who plays Sylens in the Horizon games, might mean that the project is currently in development.

Interestingly, the document also mentions Kojima Productions' new open-world Decima-Engine-powered game developed for the PS5. While the project is codenamed "Ocean", many assume that this title is likely to be a sequel to Death Stranding.

Among other games included in the list are:

  • an Unreal Engine 5 survival horror game for PC and PS5 codenamed "Heartbreak" developed by recently-added PlayStation Studios developer Firesprite;
  • a PS5 open-world title from the developer behind Sackboy: A Big Adventure, Sumo Digital, codenamed "Carbon"
  • a PS5 vehicular combat game from Lucid Games codenamed "Redstar", which is assumed to be a Twisted Metal revival;
  • a survival horror game codenamed "Bates" that is in development at Ballistic Moon;
  • a live service title for PS5 and PC from SIE London Studiocodenamed "Camden".

Sony has not yet officially commented on this alleged leak, so it remains to be seen whether this list is actually credible. In an interview with Famitsu, PlayStation Studios' head Hermen Hulst confirmed that Decima Engine is used by several SIE studios, although he didn't specify which studios use it and which projects it is powering.
