You Can Draw Weapon with Chalk in This Indie Game Based on YouTube Series
Chalk Warfare enters the video game world.
Have a look at a fast-paced shooter where you draw your weapon, titled Chalk Warfare, from SoKrispyMedia, a team that makes cinematic videos on YouTube. The game is based on the team's viral YouTube series.
The videos in the Chalk Warfare series share a similar concept: characters draw their weapons with chalk on the asphalt and then use them in their fights. The first video dates back to 2012 and has 58 million views.
"We've spent YEARS working on this for you guys... Making Chalk Warfare into a playable experience has been a dream of ours since the start of the series! Whether you've been with us since the beginning, or you're one of the hundreds of thousands of people watching the series for the first time this week, we're excited to show you what we've been working on!" the team shared.
The upcoming game is a multiplayer PvP shooter powered by a custom real-time drawing recognition system. Within a split second, the game analyzes your custom design and figures out exactly how it should be used. You can sketch tools, modifications, and gadgets even mid-match. The chalk is not only ammunition but also a currency, and the only limit.

The peculiar mechanic of Chalk Warfare lets you not only draw a weapon but also overcome obstacles. For example, you can slam a door with a just-drawn ax. Drawing defines everything: a different grip dynamically changes your character's animations, hand placement, custom emotes, and the weapon's physical shooting mechanics.

The release date of Chalk Warfare hasn't been set yet. The number of wishlists crossed 10,000 over a weekend three weeks ago, and it's now over 25,000.
