The December release of Maxon One has just arrived, bringing plenty of new features and enhancements to boost your creative process. We've been hearing exciting news about ZBrush this year, while the major user interface overhaul is expected in 2026, some of the other updates aimed at improving retopology workflows are already starting to roll out.
ZBrush 2026.1 for desktop and iPad introduces the powerful Retopology Brush and Smooth Retopology Brush, available on both platforms. There's also a new ability to create tabs in the IMM Viewer for Retopo Patches, IMM, NanoMesh, and VDM brushes. Folder Restructure, which allows users to add custom elements to their profile, is available on desktop only.
As for ZBrush for iPad, it now features photogrammetry scanning, along with a user-friendly quick search, better import/export options, and auto-save.
