Bedulenko is an artist known for creating very detailed and complex environments. He has been sharing different locations he is making for the Velvet Road world, like Qheeva, which was the first city he created. He took inspiration from different places and cultures to make it.
The Kheezwara is a commercial and cultural center of the Marble Gulf region, and it is connected to other cities of the Great River through the Baj-Qheeth port.
In the past, we had the chance to talk with Max Bedulenko about the Nogroth location, which was inspired by the culture of medieval Novgorod and the north of Russia.
In the interview, he also explained that his idea was to create civilizations that use technologies similar to the steampunk or diesel-punk settings, but with societies that are more archaic and primitive in culture.
"In this world technology has little influence on cultural change, technological progress is slow and uneven, the social system remains barely feudal, and people's mores are still rude and cruel. All in all, I still have a lot of ideas, plots, and concepts on the theme of Velvet Road civilizations and cultures."
