Quentin Godillon's new artwork teleports you to the docks of a gorgeous Fishing Harbor.
3D Environment Artist Quentin Godillon has recently paid tribute to the US state of Maine by unveiling Fishing Harbor, a spectacular 3D scene depicting a small lighthouse and cluttered docks with myriads of eye-catching details scattered throughout the level.
Set up in Unreal Engine 5, the scene comprises both hand-made assets, created by Quentin with Blender, Substance 3D Painter, and Substance 3D Designer, and store-bought ones (rocks, vegetation, decals), acquired from Megascans. According to the author, the project's main goals were to experiment with a master material and a wood texture set and save as many resources as possible with tilling, trimming, masking, blending, and UVs.
Earlier, the creator provided a closer look at the wood planks material made for the environment:
Last month, Quentin also joined 80 Level to tell us more about the London has Fallen project, delving into the inspiration behind it, detailing modeling, texturing, lighting, and post-processing stages, as well as sharing what he learned from the project.
