A Fantastic Carpenter's Cellar Scene Made in Unreal Engine 5

Daniel Martinger has revealed an ultra-realistic environment made with Substance, ZBrush, Maya, and UE5.

Swedish 3D Prop/Environment Artist Daniel Martinger has unveiled a marvelous project called The Carpenter's Cellar. The project depicts a workshed with a variety of detailed and extremely realistic tools, appliances, and other assets made by the artist in Maya, ZBrush, and Substance 3D Painter. What's more, the artist didn't use any photoscans to create this scene, which is quite surprising given how realistic the cellar looks.

This project is rendered In Unreal Engine 5, using Pathtracing. The artist comments that the Lumen version is currently being made for comparison. "My goal was to explore Unreal Engine 5. I have never used Unreal before so it was really nice getting to know the engine and explore its power," writes Daniel.

We have already contacted the artist and asked him about the working process behind the project, the interview is coming out soon, so stay tuned. In the meantime, we highly encourage you to visit Daniel's ArtStation page to check out more fantastic projects.
