The best part is – this is the artist's very first showcased creation.
When it comes to artists' portfolios, they can essentially be divided into two categories: the first, far more common, showcases the creator's entire journey from somehow making Blender cubes look ugly to modern-day masterpieces, and the second, much rarer, that hits you with brilliance right from the start.
Today, let's look at an example of the latter, courtesy of 3D Character Modeler Soyoon Kweon, who kicked off their ArtStation portfolio with a bang by presenting their first-ever showcased work – an amazing and more realistic 3D take on Mikasa Ackerman, the beloved deuteragonist of the Attack on Titan anime and manga series.
To create the model, Soyoon used a variety of software, including 3ds Max, ZBrush, Substance 3D Painter, Marmoset Toolbag, Marvelous Designer, Ornatrix, 3DCoat, and RizomUV. Attached below are some of the renders and WIP shots shared by Soyoon:
