Apple Presents iPhone Duo, the First Foldable iPhone
The iPhone Duo features a 7.6-inch Super Retina display and is the thinnest iPhone ever made.

The display is versatile and can be used in different ways: run two apps side by side with Split View multitasking, use an app in portrait mode with a wider on-screen keyboard for typing, or set it up laptop-style or in a tent mode.

Early hands-on impressions suggest that the most striking part of the experience is the folding motion: as the phone opens and closes, the screen doesn't just switch on and off, but instead the image gradually sharpens into focus as the device settles into its final position.
The chassis is protected by a titanium frame and hinge cover, with a scratch-resistant coating on the inner display and Ceramic Shield on the front and back. The dual battery system, introduced to iPhones for the first time, ensures all-day work and up to 31 hours of video playback when using the inner display and up to 44 hours of video playback when using the outer display, which is 5 more hours compared to the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

iPhone Duo will be available in two colors: Night Sky and Star White.
Rumors about Apple developing a foldable device first surfaced a few years ago. For example, in 2022, the company was reportedly working on a device with a 20-inch foldable display panel, which would be an "iPad/MacBook hybrid." However, according to recent research, Apple canceled its plans for the device.
Apart from the iPhone Duo, Apple presented a new iPhone 18 Pro, Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4, and AirPods 5.
iPhone 18 Pro features the longest battery life in an iPhone, with up to 45 hours of video playback, exceeding the iPhone 17 Pro Max by 6 more hours. The new iPhone is powered by the vapor-cooled A20 Pro chip and features a new 48MP Fusion Main camera and is available in Burgundy, Glacier, Silver, and Black.
Pre-orders start on September 12 at 4 p.m. local time, with the devices becoming available on September 18.
