Bloodborne's Moonlight Sword Made With Maya & Unity

This version of the iconic Bloodborne weapon was made by Josué Ortigoza.

Unity Technical Artist and Game Developer Josué Ortigoza, a.k.a. Dervish, who previously made a beautiful pixelated diorama and countless other projects, has unveiled a new mesmerizing project. This time, the artist has recreated an iconic Moonlight Sword from Bloodborne made in Unity. According to the artist, the prop was made for Technically A Challenge, a challenge that tasks Technical Artists to create a visual effect.

The sword itself, the author commented, consists of a 3D model and a single shader that serves as a texture. The model was created using Maya and the shader that creates the cosmos effect was made with Unity. In the future, Dervish plans to release a tutorial to explain the workflow behind the sword in more detail.

We highly encourage you to visit the artist's Twitter and Instagram pages to learn more about Unity. Also, don't forget to join our new Reddit pageour new Telegram channel, follow us on Instagram and Twitter, where we are sharing breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
