CannonHead VS SawHand Barrel: Mechanics for Cartoon-Style Game

A cartoonish character with a cannon as their head is a fun idea for a game, and solo developer Rod3dArt is already working on it, inspired by – you guessed it  – Cuphead.

In this new showcase, the creator demonstrated the protagonist shooting barrels and crates right from their head, but there is a surprise at the end of the video: one of the barrels knows how to defend itself with its circular saw hands.

You might have seen Rod3dArt's work: we have admired the cool cartoonish "tire feet" effect before. It was exported from Blender to Unreal Engine 5, where the developer finalized the barrel "fight."

It's too early to say, but I think this project, called CannonHead, has all the chances to become a well-loved indie game when it's finished.
