Character Artist Shares How Overwatch's Vendetta Was Sculpted and Textured

Overwatch has a huge roster of iconic characters. Is Vendetta in your typical rotation?

Bryan Bedford, Character Artist, shared on his ArtStation his participation in the creation of Vendetta, the 45th hero added to Overwatch.

Bedford shared that his work focused on sculpting, high-poly and low-poly models, textures, and final materials for the character. To create Vendetta, he used Maya, ZBrush, Marmoset Toolbag, and Substance 3D Painter.

Vendetta is a Flanker Damage hero that was released in Season 20 in December 2025. The character is very stylized, with a very strong figure that suits players who prefer high-aggression characters.

The artist also added that the concept was created by Senior Concept Artist Kai Chang, the weapon by Senior Character Artist Andrew Downs, and that he was directed and supported by Associate Art Director John Gotch.
