Vlad Minguillo has masterfully captured Ella Purnell's likeness using Maya, ZBrush, and Substance 3D Painter.
Even though the hype surrounding Amazon's Fallout TV show has largely diminished at this point, it would be incorrect to assume that it has disappeared entirely, with many artists still drawing inspiration from the series and producing remarkable fan-art dedicated to it.
One such artist is Vlad Minguillo, an Art Director and VFX Senior 3D Sculptor, known to many for his realistic character portraits, who paid tribute to the show with an exceptionally detailed model of its protagonist, Lucy MacLean, perfectly translating Ella Purnell's likeness into the digital world. According to the creator, his 3D take on Lucy was modeled, textured, and rendered with ZBrush, Maya, Substance 3D Painter, and Arnold, with XGen having been used to set up the character's hairstyle.
Next week, our interview with Vlad about his previous project, a 3D portrait of Evelina Lauren, is going live, so stay tuned. In the meantime, we highly recommend checking out the artist's previous projects by visiting Vlad's ArtStation page.
