Christopher Walken as MGS's Solid Snake Made in 3D

Bryan Soegondo and Yusuf Zaimoglu presented their take on the Metal Gear Solid character.

3D artists Yusuf Zaimoglu and Bryan Soegondo shared a detailed model of young Christopher Walken portrayed as MGS's Solid Snake. The impressive 3D work was sculpted, posed, and art directed by Zaimoglu using ZBrush, while Soegondo handled UVs, texturing, cloth simulation, hair grooming, retopology, look development, lighting, rendering, and compositing.

The model was textured with Substance 3D Painter and Mari, groomed with XGen, and rendered with Arnold. The cloth simulation was done in Marvelous Designer. Blender took care of the prop modleing and UVs.

"If I had done this project again, I would have stayed longer in the blockout stage, as it would have reduced the times I had to revise the proportions later on," said Zaimoglu on his ArtStation page where you can find a brief breakdown of the character.

Soegondo also has a couple of comments on the design on his account.
