Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Animator Shares Curated Animation Reel

Enjoy the work of Sylvan Kim.

To no one's surprise, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 dominated last week's The Game Awards 2025, securing a record-breaking nine wins. Beyond the accolades, it also captured players' hearts with the inspiring tale of Sandfall Interactive, founded by former Ubisoft employees chasing their dream project. Even more impressively, the game was developed on a remarkably modest budget, proving that creating an extraordinary game doesn't require AAA-level spending.

Throughout the year, we've shared plenty of making-of content from Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, including many of Sylvan Kim's incredible animations. He's now put together a curated short clip showcasing the monsters and characters he worked on, which you can enjoy above the article.

"Having my name engraved in the credits of a GOTY title and knowing that my animations live and breathe within Expedition 33 makes this a deeply proud and meaningful moment in my journey as a Game Animator.

It all started with a proposal from a stranger. Captivated by the stunning art direction, I eventually connected with Sandfall Interactive. Looking back from those early days to the release and up to this moment, the entire journey feels incredibly special", he said.
