In case you didn’t know Ryan James Smith runs a very cool blog, devoted to solving complex problems with game arts. Ryan is definitely a guy to follow since he’s been working with Gearbox Software for a while as a lead technical artists. His recent post touches on the questions of practical approaches to the creation of glass materials.

He explains how to make grunge textures, how to build a glass shaders Unreal Engine 4 and what are the quick ways to tweak and set these things up. If you’re new to shaders, that might come as a great way to learn a bit more about the production.

You can check the full tutorial on Ryan’s blog.

Winter Environment is a Unity package ready to be used with Unity Engine. Contains additional shaders with which you can adjust the snow amount on trees, grass and props.
