Developer Gets Distracted Walking Through Grass in His Own Extraction Roguelite Adventure
We can't blame him.
Developer Marblekid is working on a PvE cozy extraction roguelite titled Mom, I'll Be Home Late, capturing an evening moment when you are heading home from a long walk, and shared a funny detail – he got distracted from the development process by walking through the grass in the game's locations.
The little character runs through the grass and leaves traces, and it feels "weirdly satisfying," says Marblekid.
In the game, a small character follows the same path home – but it feels different each time. On the way, the character can gather whatever he can find, grow stronger, and bring loot home. The game strikes a perfect balance between coziness and intense moments, creating a unique atmosphere.

The restrained music supports the vibes, and you can hear footsteps, water, leaves, and wind. Between combat and intense gameplay, the adventure slows down again – you gather supplies, take stock of your surroundings, and continue.
