Enjoy New Locations & Effects in First-Person Diablo 2 Fan Project

Mark "I Make Games" can't release the game but can reimagine the classic adventure.

Last month, solo developer Mark, also known as I Make Games, received a bunch of new followers thanks to his recreation of Diablo 2 in first-person view going viral. The timeless RPG looks as great as ever in Unreal Engine when you shoot fireballs from an unusual angle.

Since then, Mark has shared more experimentations, new locations, and cool effects and addressed what many Diablo fans want to know: no, he can't release the game when it's done, Blizzard would never allow him to use its IP.

However, he hopes that his project will show the company that people want to see the game from this perspective, and the studio might create its own, official version.

What Mark can do is make a new IP based on his work, and maybe we'll see it on Steam one day, but for now, let's enjoy what the developer set up for this reimagination on YouTube.

In his devlogs, Mark shows his visual effects and various systems, including dismemberment.
