Firelights' Base From Arcane Recreated in Unreal Engine 5

The artist used Maya, ZBrush, and Substance 3D software to create the assets.

Take a look at Firelight's Den, an incredible 3D recreation of the hideout of Firelights, a street gang from Riot Games' renowned Arcane TV series, created by 3D Environment Artist Fausta Gunawan as part of the Think Tank Training Centre's course.

Powered by Unreal Engine 5, the scene was inspired by the works of Martin Bailly, DEB, and Maéna Paillet, who all worked on the show itself, perfectly capturing the original series' mood and atmosphere and boasting detailed hand-made stylized assets and a great lighting setup. According to the author, such software as Maya, ZBrush, Substance 3D Painter/Designer, and DaVinci Resolve were also used during production.

Attached below are some of the renders shared by Fausta, you can check out more by visiting the artist's ArtStation page:

The author also published a short breakdown showing how the master material for the scene was made:

If you would like to learn more about creating environments for Arcane, we recommend checking out yesterday's interview with Arnaud-Loris Baudry, Production Designer/Senior Concept Artist at Riot Games, who told us about the production process behind Arcane, explained how the city of Piltover and Zaun were made, and shared some details on the upcoming season 2.
