Free Advanced Radial Blur With Chromatic Smear For After Effects

Mirza Beig has released a new plug-in.

Mirza Beig, likely familiar to our readers for his impressive Unity shader work, has now brought his expertise to After Effects with Advanced Radial Blur. It's a configurable, GPU-accelerated post-processing plug-in that renders radial/zoom blur, Gaussian blur, and RGB radial/zoom blur, allowing users to create a range of stylized motion and distortion effects.

According to the developer, it's developed with a "custom, rapid-iteration, HTML-based/protoyping pipeline" and is designed for Windows 11 and Adobe After Effects 2025. It requires a GPU from 2010 onward and the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime, which comes with Windows 10 and 11. Advanced Radial Blur consists of just two files, which you need to place in your After Effects plug-ins folder.
